The Key Story

How Much My Dividend Portfolio Paid Me In January ($200,500 Account)

My January Dividend Income: A New Milestone

I just had my best month ever of passive dividend income, earning $626.01 in January. This is all from my $200,500 dividend growth portfolio, which I update every month over on YouTube.

Breaking Down My Income

Over the month, four different companies paid me dividends, led by a record-breaking payout from Altria (MO) - $559.05.

Seeing my income grow without adding new money underscores the power of reinvesting dividends and letting compounding do its magic.

When dividends roll in, I immediately use them to buy more shares, increasing my future payouts in a self-reinforcing “dividend snowball”.

My Compounding Machine

In the video, I use a calculator on DividendData.com to project the portfolio’s future growth if I reinvest all dividends and add no new capital. Even with conservative 8% annual growth for both share prices and dividends, the numbers get enormous over 5, 10, 15, and 35 years.

It’s a powerful demonstration of why starting now—even with a smaller amount—can lead to life-changing results down the road.

Looking Ahead

My plan is simple: keep reinvesting, keep evaluating new opportunities, and let the dividends do the heavy lifting. Yes, there will be setbacks and volatility, but the compounding effect is real.

That’s why I remain confident in my strategy, even when the market seems uncertain.

If you want to see exactly how I manage my dividend portfolio, do deeper research on stocks, and forecast your own future income, consider trying DividendData.com.

Something Fun…

My favorite NFL team, Washington Commanders, beat the Detroit Lions in the Divisional round of the playoffs.

Now, we advance our first NFC Championship game since 1991! The longest active drought of any team in the NFL.
